{Create it Wednesday}… warm wishes

Hello PRS friends!!  Are you loving the new PRS set Joy???  I know I am!!  Today I have a card to share that is easy that would be easy to mass produce using several different color combinations.  For my card I went with the Christmas classic of red and green.

I started by stamping the large image from the set in dark red ink.  To make sure that I had a nice even border around the image I first measured the image and then cut my cardstock piece about 1/4″ larger.  The image is about 2 1/2″ x  3″ so I cut my piece 2 3/4″ x 3 1/4″ and then stamp my image.  I then stamped portions of the image again using green ink, trimmed those pieces out and adhered to the main image using foam dimensionals.  Some Crystal Stickles were added to the Christmas tree.   The sentiment “warm wishes” is from the PRS Coffee Love set and perfect for the little message box.   I added three score lines to the card base and then adhered the image.  Finished things off with a few green sequins.

I hope you enjoyed my project today!  Thanks for stopping by…

Design It Monday ~ {A Little Joy}

Hello friends! Did you enjoy our blog hop featuring the new {Joy} stamp set? A big congratulations to Katie B. on being our give-a-way winner! I’m sharing a card today using the new set that went together very quickly and would be easy to mass produce.

This card uses a single stamp from the set. But sometimes “a little joy” can pack a big punch with the right background!

I began with the dry embossing of my card base. It’s folded tent style. Next I die cut two large snowflakes, one from cardstock, one from polka dot vellum and an ornament. The {Joy} sentiment was stamped with Versa Mark ink then heat embossed with gold powder. These items were layered onto the card after the pretty red tinsel edge ribbon (Pretty Pink Posh) had been added. I opted for metallic gold sequins  (PPP) as my ornament topper and for a splash of elegance on the snowflake.

I think the pop of red ribbon goes beautifully with the crisp white and elegant gold. This ribbon flattens nicely for easy mailing. But you could omit it all together or swap it out for twine.

I hope I brought a little joy into your day with my card. Stay tuned for more projects from the team featuring the new {Joy} stamp set!
