Saturday Creations – {—hi—}

Hello Everyone!  Today I have a card and two creations that could be framed and hung on a wall using our new PR Happy Art Stamp Set Here is my card ~ think flowers and hearts!

000_4709

I used distress inks and brushed across the hearts with a water brush for the color bursts.  The flower is made with three of the stamps from this set, the large spot, the small splat and the scribble.  The stem is from the PR New Day Stamp set and the —hi— is from the PR Positive Thoughts Stamp Set.  What I LOVE about the Precious Remembrance stamp sets is that they all compliment each other ~ lots of hearts, lots of FAB fonts and universal sentiments!

So after I made my card I decided to make two pieces with the flower motif:

000_4714This time besides using the paint stroke for the flower stem I also used the sentiment from the PR New Day Stamp Set.  Because there were ink spots in the sentiment, I flicked black ink all over the page.  Then I decided to make an even brighter version:

The color around the edges is distress ink applied and moved around with a water brush.

I had so much FUN playing with the PR Happy Art Stamp Set!  You will, too!  Until next time:

Saturday Creations ~ {Happy Stamping}

I hope you are having as much FUN viewing all of the FAB creations from our PR Design Team with our new PR Happy Art Stamp set as we are having making these cards for you!

Here’s my latest creation:

000_4694Yellow, pink, and orange ~ what could be more YUMMY?!  Besides the small paint splats, I used the open triangle stamp with the solid triangle stamp inside for a different color and the two heart stamps.

000_4695I stamped the three different colors on the white doily, added two perfectly matched little flowers and that precious white washed heart.

Here are some process photos:

I randomly stamped the light pink

I hope you like my card!

Saturday Creations ~ {yay!}

I had so much FUN creating my card for you today!  This PR Happy Arts Stamp set just puts me in the best mood!

000_4696I started by stamping one large image in each of the colors down the middle of the card front.  Then I stamped the small splats in yellow, pink and orange randomly on the card front.  If you look closely, you will also see the scribble stamped in white on the large images.

000_4697To finish my card I stamped the yay! in pink and clear embossed it to make it POP!

Tip:  Start out with three of the biggest images first and then stamp the small images to fill in the as needed:

I hope you like my card ~ I’m thinking birthday maybe?!!!

Saturday Creations ~ {Inspiration from Pride and Prejudice}

My FAV movie scene EVER is when Mr. Darcy is walking across the moors and he tells Elizabeth “I Love, Love, Love You.”  Have you seen this movie?!

This scene is what inspired my card for my last Sweet Pea Stamp Set posting.

000_4649Here’s a close up of the words.  It was easy just to ink up the word Love the first two times and then ink up the entire sentiment for the last Love You.

Here’s my card:

000_4650I used three Precious Remembrance stamp sets to make this card.  The paint streaks were stamped in graduated pink inks with a stamp from the New Day Stamp Set.  The heart was stamped on the card and then I stamped another heart, embossed it with clear embossing powder, and popped it up.  The heart is from the Love Coupon Stamp Set.  I went over the paint streaks with tea dye distress stain.  The white script is peeking through because this paper is white on white embossed paper and none of the ink adheres to the words.  Cool, huh?  And of course some sequins from Lisa’s Sweet Pea sequin collection!

I hope you like my card!

Saturday Creations ~ {The Key to my Heart}

I made this mixed media canvas for my husband for Valentine’s Day:

000_4653I hope he likes pink!

Here’s a close up of the Love You sentiment from the Sweet Pea Stamp set.  I stamped it on text tissue paper and adhered it to my canvas.  TIP – you can stamp it over and over on tissue until it’s perfect and adhere it later.  I can’t tell you how many times I stamped directly on my art project and messed it up!  Can you relate?!

000_4654I think this sentiment is just such a FAB font!

Here’s a close up of my focal point:

000_4656You can see the crackle stenciled circles, the micro beads on the metal frame, the micro beads in the dangling heart and the dripping paint sprays.  I call this key to  my heart because of the key hole and the heart.

I wanted to show you that you can use this Sweet Pea stamp set to make a clean and simple card or a more complicated mixed media gift.  I hope you like it!

Saturday Creations ~ {Heart Flowers with the new Sweet Pea Stamp Set}

I don’t know why but when I looked at the flowers in this new Sweet Pea Stamp Set I thought they would make super stems for the hearts on this patterned paper!

Isn’t it CUTE?!!!  I added sequins from Lisa’s Sweet Pea selection to add a little sparkle.

The Love You font is a new FAV of mine, especially with the tiny hearts stamped at the end.

A simple card and flat for mailing!  Hope you like it!

Saturday Creations ~ {Wishing You a Pink Merry Christmas!}

For my last card with the PR Sketchy Christmas set, I decided to use some of my Favorite things:

Light molding paste with a damask stencil, a shade of pink, vellum, embossing, and a FAB stamp set!  I have really enjoyed creating with Sketchy Christmas!  Here’s a close-up of the white embossed tree and clear embossed black sentiment against the BG I created with plumeria spray:

Something else I do when I’ve created something I like is to re-create it in reverse colors:

The tree was stamped with Versamark and embossed in white.  Then the watercolor paper was sprayed with plumeria.  The ribbon just ties it all together!

Tip – the tail on the Merry Christmas sentiment makes a great line to “ground” the tree, don’t you think?!

I hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas and come back to see what’s in store for 2016!  Thanks for stopping by!

Saturday Creations ~ {Sketchy Word Play}

I using our new Precious Remembrance Sketchy Christmas stamp set and I wanted to create something with just the words and the arrows.  THIS is what I came up with:

I stamped everything on watercolor paper which is heavy and then cut it out.

Before I adhered it to the designer paper, I took an oil pastel, scribbled the tree, brushed it with water, added soft gloss gell, and sprinkled glitter all over it.  Then I adhered the word tree on top.  I also colored the words in with the oil pastels and used the water brush technique.

After all of this was done, I decided it would look FAB as a Christmas wall hanging so here what I ended up with:

I hope you like it!

My tip for today is to think outside the box.  You never know where your creativity will take you!

Saturday Creations ~ {Pretty in Pink}

Today I have a card to share that I made with the FABULOUS Precious Remembrance Sketchy Christmas stamp set.

I made a mini piece of art with Ken Oliver’s Color Burst in Merlot.  Then I stamped the trees and the scribble in Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.

I thought it was so pretty and I didn’t want to detract from it so I distressed the edges and mounted it on a BG of watercolor paper.  Than I mounted this on a kraft card and added sequins:

Perfectly “artsy” and one layer to mail!  Now I only have to make 99 more!

I hope you purchase this PR Sketchy Christmas set.  There are just so many possibilities to create something Fantastic!

Thanks for stopping by!
