Tuesday Ideas: Sweet Pea Simplicity

Hello, everyone!  It’s Melissa back with more Tuesday Ideas inspiration!  Can you believe we’re already in the final week of January?

I’m adoring the new Sweet Pea set that Lisa designed!  This week, I created a card using one of the adorable little pea pods included in the set.

Keeping true to clean & simple style, I stamped the pea pod on the main panel & colored it with Copic markers.  I then stamped the sentiment and a trio of pink hearts, adding a touch of sparkle to the hearts with a Wink of Stella brush marker.  The entire layered panel is popped up with foam dots for dimension.

I can’t wait to use this set for Valentine’s Day cards!  With less than a month to go, I’d better get busy!

Until next time, happy stamping!

Tuesday Ideas: Masked Frame For Your Message

Hello, everyone!  It’s Melissa, back with one more installment of Tuesday Ideas using before the year ends!  Next week is Christmas and it’s time to get those last minute cards wrapped up and in the mail!  Today, I’m sharing a quick one layer card to help you out if you’re still trying to finish up your creative projects!  Once again, I used the fabulous Sketchy Christmas set!

I masked a diagonal line in green ink and then added a little more shine to it with a green Heidi Swapp Color Shine spritz.  This is shimmery white cardstock, so there is a slight shimmer to the entire card!  Once the masked panel was dry, I simply stamped the tree & sentiment and added the little gemstone star to finish off the design.

Wishing you and yours Happy Holidays!

Tuesday Ideas: Monochromatic Christmas

Hello, everyone!  It’s Melissa back with another installment of Tuesday Ideas using the Sketchy Christmas set!  This week, I went with a monochromatic design & added simple embellishments.

Silver cardstock is a favorite of mine this time of year and I simply used grey ink on the main image to keep it subtle.  I used the squiggly line image as tinsel and then added different sized pearls as embellishments.  I love the softness of the grey and white together!

Are you feeling like you are ready for the holidays?  If you still have greeting cards to create and send out, try keeping things clean and simple!

Until next time, happy stamping!

Tuesday Ideas: Simply Merry Christmas

Hello, everyone!  It’s Melissa back with another Tuesday Ideas post!  This week, I’m sharing another idea using the wonderful Sketchy Christmas stamp set!  As usual, I tried to create a clean and simple design.

I used a stencil to create a dotted background & then spritzed the panel with green for some added shimmer.  I stamped the beautiful sentiment on a piece of coordinating silver cardstock and layered it on top of the main panel.  I popped up the assembled panel with foam dots for dimension.  Green sequins & clear gemstones were added as embellishments and I was done!  You could use a variety of colors and shapes on the main panel!  I love the mix of fonts in this particular sentiment!  It really works perfectly as a stand alone on a card!

I hope you’re feeling prepared for the upcoming holidays!  It always seems like they arrive so quickly and then the new year is here before we know it!  Enjoy!

Until next time, happy stamping!

Tuesday Ideas: Layered Trees

Hello, everyone!  It’s Melissa back with another installment of Tuesday Ideas using the new Sketchy Christmas stamp set!

Today, I thought I’d share another clean & simple holiday card idea.

I used two of the tree images in the set, stamping off the two base images before stamping them on the card base.  The center tree was stamped and fussy cut before being popped up with foam dots.  I stamped and fussy cut the sentiment and then simply adhered it to the center tree.  I added snow in the form of clear Stickles and finished the design with a single gold star sequin.  Another simple holiday card that could be easily produced in large numbers for the season!

November will soon be half over and the usual holiday rush will go into effect.  Keeping holiday cards clean & simple really helps when you’re in the midst of all the preparations that go into this time of year!

Until next time, happy stamping!

Tuesday Ideas: A Beautiful Ride

Hello, everyone!  It’s Melissa returning with another Tuesday Ideas post!  Today, I’m highlighting the School Days stamp set one last time!

I had this idea come to me as I was looking through my stash of Precious Remembrance Shop stamps & saw the sentiment (New Day set)!  I went searching for the perfect paper to use for paper piecing!  Isn’t it great how the school bus in this set can quickly become any kind of bus you’d like it to be?!  I have so much patterned paper that this bus can take on whatever paint job it wants for months!  I used Stampendous Dots for the headlights this time as they are flat and shimmery pink in color.  I popped up the finished bus with foam dots to add a little dimension.

I hope autumn is treating you well!  Cooler days usually mean more time to stamp, right?!

Until next time, happy stamping!

{create it wednesday} awesome…

Happy Wednesday PRS fans!!  Rosemary here with my last post showcasing the new School Days stamp set.  But fear not… there are plenty more design team posts scheduled using this fun new set and something new coming really soon {wink}!   Today I went clean and simple for my card and used the primary colors of green, red and blue.

After die cutting a panel of white cardstock I stamped the three circle images from School Days using the red, green and blue inks and then punched them out.    Two of the sentiment from the set (I’m so proud of you! and You are awesome!) were stamped on white cardstock and die cut using a banner die.  All of the icons were arranged on the cardstock panel and then the banner adhered on top as shown.  Like I said… clean and simple!

Thanks for stopping by today…

Tueday Ideas: Simply Thanks

Hello everyone!  It’s Melissa back with another installment of Tuesday Ideas!  Today, I thought I’d share a simple thank you card using the wonderful School Days set!

I don’t know how many times I’ve wished I had a stash of simple thank you cards on hand to quickly grab from!  This  design is so easy to reproduce that I’ll soon have a nice little supply of thank you cards ready and waiting to be used!  I stamped the fabulous, bold thanks first in black and then added the smaller sentiment below it with green ink.  To add a little interest, I placed three green gemstones along the left side of the larger sentiment.

Ready to quickly add some thank you cards to your card supply?  Try this design!  You can vary the color of the smaller sentiment and gemstones for a little variety!

Until next time, happy stamping!

Tuesday Ideas: Spook Bus

Hi everyone!  It’s Melissa back with another installment of Tuesday Ideas!  This week, I thought I’d use the School Days set to create a mini Halloween card.  It’s always fun to stick a little note in with Halloween treats and this little 2.5 x 3.5 card will be perfect for that!

I used a black marker to ink all but the ‘School’ sign on the bus.  I wanted to replace the sign with a Halloween themed one!  I grounded the bus & framed the sentiment using the border stamp in the School Days set.  I used the ‘Beware’ sentiment from the Beware stamp set to transition the school bus into a spo0ky bus.  The little spider is from a portion of one of the circle images in the same set.

Have you started on your Halloween cards & gifts yet?  Next week, October arrives and then it won’t be long before little ghosts & goblins are knocking on doors asking for sweet treats!

Until next time, happy stamping!

Tuesday Ideas: Grounded

Hello, everyone!  It’s Melissa back with another installment of Tuesday Ideas!  A new school year has started and I’m loving the new School Days set so much!  I’m often in need of school themed cards throughout the school year and this set has so many possibilities!

Today, I’m sharing a clean & simple congratulations card.

I stamped the dashed outline image in black ink first, using it to ground the three circle images.  I’ve found simple border or background images work so well for grounding elements on a card design!  The three circle images were stamped in three different colors and cut out using a 1-inch circle punch.  Foam dots were used to attached them to the card base.

This could be used to congratulate a young student during the school year or as a graduation card!  I’m even thinking about making several of these and giving a set to a teacher as a gift this year.

I hope your summer is winding down smoothly and you’re beginning to ease into the idea of autumn!  I’m thinking a season change sounds rather nice right about now!

Until next time, happy stamping!
