Inspire Me Friday – {Sending Hugs}

Hello and happy Friday everyone!  Rosemary here with an artsy little card that I made with the Everyday stamp set and two of my favorite Precious Remembrance Shop stamp sets, DIY and Positive Thoughts.   Several years ago I made a card using the feather image from the DIY set to create a stylized heart.  I decided to do that again for my card today.

My first love when it comes to papercrafting is just plain stamping.  I love to combine images from different sets with fun colors and see where things take me.  That is one of the things I have liked so much about Precious Remembrance Stamps.  The ability to combine images and just have fun!  I found a fun color palette that included pink, red, blue and green and got to work.   I spent some time stamping the images in different colors to see what would work best.  I knew the stylized heart would be red and originally I had the heart background stamped in pink, but then as I got further into the process I realized that I didn’t want the hearts (from the Positive Thoughts set) down the side of the bottom panel to be blue and green so I changed the background for the heart to the blue and stamped the hearts in pink and green.  I finished up the bottom panel by adding the sentiment from Positive Thoughts in red and then stamping the dot image from Everyday in pink over the heart.  I added the arrow image from DIY over the hearts with the light blue and then added the splatter image (also from DIY) in green.  I mounted the heart panel over the bottom panel with foam tape.  The sentiment from the Everyday set was stamped in VersaFine CLAIR Nocturne, trimmed down and adhered.  Everything was then adhered to a light gray cardstock base.   I really love how this turned out and I hope I gave you some ideas as to how to combine images from different Precious Remembrance Shop sets.

Wishing you a wonderful Christmas!

Project Thursday ~ Monochromatic CAS Card Set

Hello everyone… Helen is here. Today, I have a set of monochromatic, clean-and-simple card set to share with you all. It is very simple and quick to make them.

I go with white and kraft color theme for this card set.

For the background, I use the DIY Stamp Set. I stamped feather and splatter dots on 4” x 5.25” kraft cardstocks with VersaMark Ink Pad, and I added some super fine white embossing powder, then heat set them with craft heater.

I distressed the edges of the background cardstocks with distresser tool (or you can use scissors for this technique).

I added all of them on A2 white cards (4.25” x 5.5”) with permanent adhesive runner.

I stamped the sentiments from Little Things Stamp Set on white cardstocks using similar ink pad to kraft background. After stamping them all, I trimmed them with paper trimmer into sentiment strips. And then I added them on each card with 3D foam tape to give little dimension to the card.

I like make card set as gift to others. How abouy you? Do you like giving handmade gift?

I hope you all like this project… Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful week!

Inspire Me Friday – {fantastic friend}

Happy Friday everyone!!  Rosemary here with another project to share using the newly released Little Things stamp set.  I combined the stamp set with several other Precious Remembrance Shop stamp sets and did some collage stamping.

little things

I started out by picking out the images that I wanted to use.  I love the feather image from the DIY set so I used that one along with the text box image from Fall Colors.  I used the color combo from Color Throwdown and then spent some time figuring out exactly how I wanted to used the images with the colors.  I finally settled on stamping the feather in green, the triangle images in blue, the LOL icon in yellow and the box in coral.  The sentiment was stamped in black to make it stand out.  Finished by stamping all the color in the upper corner using a small triangles image from the set.  Die cut the panel and adhered it to a medium blue cardstock base.  Super simple.

Hope you have a wonderful day!
