Inspire Me Friday – {Something New & A Year in Review}

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  Rosemary here with my final Inspire Me Friday post for the year.   This post is a little bittersweet as this is also my final post as a member of the Precious Remembrance Design team.  I want to thank Dyane to asking me to rejoin the team this year.  It has been a lot of fun designing with Precious Remembrance Shop stamps over the last year, but sadly I must say goodbye.  My final project is one combining the Everyday stamp set with the Coffee Love stamp set.

For this card I decided to use a piece of embossed rose gold paper from a pad I recently picked.  The papers are from DCWV and the pad has glitter papers in it, these embossed ones, metallic and several others.  I just fell in love with the embossed paper and had to use it.  I simply cut two pieces and adhered them to a panel of white cardstock that I had die cut with a rectangle die.  To make my coffee cup I first stamped some white cardstock with the swipes background image from Everyday using Memento Desert Sand ink.   I then stamped the coffee cup from Coffee Love over the stamping with VersaMark watermark ink and embossed it using copper embossing powder.  Did that again for the center band of the cup as well as the lid.   I trimmed out all the pieces and before adhered them I stamped the heart circle image from Coffee Love on the band with the Desert Sand ink and then stamped the sentiment from Everyday in VersaFine CLAIR  Nocturne over the top.   The band and the lid were adhered with foam tape and then the cup was attached to the card front.   A clean and simple, but somewhat elegant birthday card!

Now that I have shared my final project with you I would like to share my favorite projects from the last year.   First up is a card I made using the Daily Thoughts stamp set along with items from the Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces pack.prs card

This next project uses several different PRS stamp sets.  The fun Sketchy Alphabet, Positive Thoughts and Blossom.  Love the clean and simple design!

Another favorite project from this past year is this card.  This card uses images from DIY and Little Things.

Do you see a pattern forming?  Most of my favorites center around stamping!  This next project is full of stamping with another favorite PRS set, Fall Colors.

My last project is probably my most favorite and I think showcases perfectly just how much fun you can have with PRS stamp sets!  This card was made with the Beware stamp set, New Day stamp set and one of my go to PRS stamp sets:  Positive Thoughts.

I hope I inspired you to pull out your Precious Remembrance Shop stamp sets and start mixing and matching to see what you can create!  Have a very happy new year!

Project Thursday ~ Mass Produce Thank You Cards For Winter

Hello everyone! Helen is here again today with mass-produce card ideas for this coming Winter / Christmas season.

Every month starting November 2018 until May 2019, I make 60 Thank You cards for donation at a Kids Camp programs. When comes to making a lot of cards or mass producing, I like to use clean-and-simple (CAS) style. I use these three CAS card designs for Winter camp which I made 20 cards for each design.

On this first one layer & CAS design, I used the Sketchy Christmas Stamp Set and the Fall Colors Stamp Set. I stamped the trees and dots with white archival ink pad to create the background. And then I stamped the sentiment from Everyday Stamp Set under the trees with VersaFine Clair – Glamorous.

On this second CAS design, I use the Joy Stamp Set and Everyday Stamp Set. I stamped the wreaths with white archival ink pad to create the background, and then I stamped the Joy word inside one of the wreath with VersaFine Clair – Glamorous. For the sentiment, I stamped it on white cardstock with Memento Desert Sand ink pad, trimmed them into sentiment banner, and then I added it on the card with 3D foam tape.

And for this third CAS card, I use the Oh Christmas Stamp Set. I stamped the evergreen leaf with white archival ink pad on the top of the card to create the background border. And I use the Everyday Stamp Set for the sentiment that I stamped it on white cardstock VersaFine Clair – Glamorous and trimmed it into sentiment banner. I wrapped the twine around the card, added the sentiment banner, and tied it up a bow. I added a little bit adhesive glue on the back of the sentiment banner to keep it stay on top of the twine.

These cards are done and ready for the kids at the camp to write thank you notes.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Hope you all have a fabulous day!

Project Thursday ~ A Thank You Card

Hello everyone… November is here! In this season of thanksgiving, there are many ways we can express our gratitude. Today, for our Project Thursday, I have a Thank You card to share with you all that I created using the new Everyday Stamp Set and Fall Colors Stamp Set.

I stamped the leaves on vellum paper with VersaFine Clair – Summertime, sprinkled with some clear embossing powder, and heat it up with craft heater. After that I fussy cut the leaves with scissors.

For the sentiment, I stamped on a white cardstock with VersaFine Clair – Pinecone and then I trimmed it into a sentiment strip that fits on top of the wreath.

On a piece of white cardstock that I trimmed into 4 inch x 5.5 inch. I added some gold splatter on it with Finetec Gold Paint and small flat waterbrush. I dried it with craft heater and added it on a kraf card with adhesive glue.

I found this paper rope in my stash box and I used it as the wreath. I shaped it into circles and added it on the card with adhesive glue. I held it down until the glue dried with couple acrylic blocks for couple of minutes.

I added couple of the vellum embossed leaves on the wreath with adhesive glue, and then I added the sentiment strip on it with 3D foam tape.

I hope you all like this clean-and-simple card with a twist of layers. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Inspire Me Friday – {happy halloween}

Happy Friday everyone!  Hope you had a great week!  I’m popping in today with a fun little Halloween card that I made using four different (yep… four!) Precious Remembrance Shop stamp sets!   The four sets are Beware (currently on sale for $7.99!), Fall Colors, Positive Thoughts and New Day.

October 31 3

As I thought about what I was going to make for this week’s post I went through all of my PRS stamp sets.  I knew I was going to use the Beware set, but wanted to mix things up a bit and when I saw the Positive Thoughts set I thought the circles image would work perfectly with the icon images from the Beware set.  So I started playing around with those two sets and working out my layout.   As I worked on the design I threw in the dots images from the New Day set and really liked what I saw.  I pulled out traditional fall/Halloween colors and got to work putting together my final design.   Once all the stamping was done I decided that the card needed just a little bit more so I added in the little splatter images from the Fall Colors set using Delicata Celestial Copper ink.  You can’t tell it is copper in the photo, but it looks really pretty in real life.    The challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge is Halloween/spooky so I’m going to add this to their gallery.   And make sure you come back to the blog tomorrow as there will be a fun hop going on to celebrate the release of a new Precious RemembranceShop stamp set!  YAY!!

Have a wonderful day!

Project Thursday ~ One Layer Thanksgiving Card Set

Hello everyone… Thanksgiving is about 5 more weeks from today! There are many ways we can express our gratitude to those who have been kind to us. One way is sending a thank you cards.

For our Project Thursday today, I have a set of One Layer Thanksgiving Cards. They are quick and easy to make. On these cards, I use the Fall Colors Stamp Set. It is a beautiful stamp set and perfect for this season.

I stamped the leaves from this stamp set with VersaFine Clair – Green OasisVersaFine Clair – Summertime, and VersaFine Clair – Pinecone. I stamped them directly on the cards to create the leafy frames with them. And then I stamped the dots on the card with VersaFine Clair – Summertime.

I stamped the sentiment and the frame with VersaFine Clair – Nocturne (black) at the center of the cards using Mini MISTI.

This type of card is perfect for mass-produce in short time for sure. Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you all have a fabulous day!

Inspire Me Friday – {fall colors}

Hello and happy Friday everyone!  How is your October going?  We are having a lovely October so far.  A little rain, but now lots of sunshine and trees sporting their beautiful fall colors!  With that in mind I created a card that reflects a lot of those beautiful fall colors using the appropriately named Fall Colors stamp set and the Positive Thoughts stamp set.

fall color 4

I started my card by stamping a panel with the leaf images from the set in fall shades of rust, pumpkin orange, and mustard yellow.  I then added in some light brown using the rings image from Positive Thoughts.    I then trimmed the panel down and added the mesh image from Fall Colors with a light yellow ink (although it doesn’t look yellow in my photo).   Then I had a bit of messy fun and added some BoBunny glitter paste in pumpkin using a stencil that I made using a die that create a panel full of circles.  Once the glitter paste was dry I matted the piece with some dark brown woodgrain cardstock.  Before layering it onto my kraft card base I stamped the leaves and one of the small splatter images along one side using kraft ink.   I stamped the sentiment on vellum and embossed it using copper embossing powder.  Looks so pretty in real life!   I finished things off by wrapping some twine along the spine of the card and tying it in a half bow.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Inspire Me Friday – {thankful for you}

Happy Friday everyone!  Rosemary here with one final thank you inspired card.  Fall is almost upon us so for this card I pulled out one of my most favorite Precious Remembrance Shop stamp sets to create my card.  That set is the beautiful Fall Colors.  This set has three gorgeous leaf images and lots of lovely sentiments.

3 leaves

As you can see this one is all stamping using a lovely fall palette of red, orange and green.  The grid image was actually stamped in a kraft colored ink, but it is readinig gray in the photo.   I started by stamping the grid image three times and then added in the leaves in red, orange and green.  I added in some small splatters using two different splatter images from the set and the same inks.    To finish off the card I stamped the label image in the kraft ink and then stamped the sentiment from the set partially inside the label.   The panel was then die cut and adhered to my light gray card base.   If you don’t own the Fall Colors stamp set already, you should really consider adding it to your stamp collection.  It can be used for all four seasons and not just fall!

Have a wonderful day!

Project Thursday ~ Thank You CAS Card Set

Hello everyone… Happy Thursday! I hope you all have been fun time enjoying Summer with your loved ones. Today, for Project Thursday, I have a set of Thank You cards to share with you. I created these cards using the Thanks Stamp Set and Fall Colors Stamp Set.

I love Summer, but I cannot wait to enjoy Fall, soon! The Fall Color combos is my inspiration to create the backgrounds for these CAS cards. Started with stamped the leaves and dots splatters images from the Fall Colors Stamp Set on watercolor papers using VersaMark Ink Pad and then I sprinkled some of white/glitter embossing powder. I heat set the images with craft heater.

Using medium round brush, I added clean water on the paper, just randomly wet the paper. Then, I picked up the yellow, orange, red, and green watercolor paints with the brush and added them on the wet paper. I let the water did the work to blend the colors together. This watercoloring technique is called wet-on-wet. The heat-embossed images resist the watercolor paints, and this is called the heat-embossing/watercolor resist technique.

I speed up the drying process by using craft heater from the back of the watercolor paper. This way is safer for the heat-embossed images to not to melt again. After all panels dried, I cut them using one of the Crazy Double Stitched Rectangles Dies.

I stamped the faux stitch border image from the Thanks Stamp Set directly on the white cards with VersaFine Clair Acorn Ink Pad. I also stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and then trimmed them with scissors.

I added the watercolored panels on the center of the card bases with dries-clear adhesive glue. Next, I added the sentiments on the card with 3D foam adhesive. I added some clear sequins to embellish the cards. And… They are done.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you all are inspired to create. See you all next time!

Create It Wednesday~Thanks

Welcome back to another edition of Create It Wednesday.  This month we’re focusing on the terrific PRS stamp set called simply, Thanks.  Lots of fun images to use for a wide variety of card styles.  The darling circle with hearts caught my attention, so I used it for the focal point. PRS DT August
I stamped in Brilliance Pearlescent Poppy & used a circle die to cut it out.  I inked a slightly larger circle die cut with the same ink & added the heart circle using foam tape.  For the background I stamped a frame in Brilliance Starlite Black using the thank you border stamp.  I used VersaMagic Oasis Green to stamp the little thanks, except for the tiny heart which I stamped in the poppy ink.  PRS DT Aug close upThe splatters are done with stamps in the Fall Colors stamp set using the green & poppy  inks.  I added Stickles to the white heart as well as a few dots on the background.  A soft gray cardstock was attached to the card front before adding the stamped panel.  Hope I’ve given you some ideas for thank you cards using Thanks and other great PRS stamp sets.  See you next time.

Inspire Me Friday – {a big hug}

Happy Friday everyone!  Can you believe that June is almost over? Crazy, I know!  I’m popping in today with a bright and fun little card that combines one of my favorite PRS sets, Fall Colors, with the newly released Little Things.

big hugs 2

I started my card by stamping two of the leaf images from Fall Colors in watermark ink on watercolor paper.  I heat embossed the images with white embossing powder and then did simple watercoloring using a medium green ZIG marker and clean water.  I let the piece dry and then trimmed it down to the size I wanted.  I trimmed a piece of yellow cardstock to the same size and then adhered it behind the watercolor piece as you see.  I stamped the polka dot strip image from Little Things in yellow, the sentiment in VersaFine CLAIR Nocturne (my favorite black ink and available in the PRS store!) and then trimmed it down.   A piece of white cardstock was trimmed to fit my card base and then I stamped one of the small triangle images along the one side as you see leaving space for the sentiment strip.  The image panel was adhered with foam tape and then I added the sentiment strip.  Everything was adhered to a bright green cardstock base.

Don’t forget that Precious Remembrance Shop carries lots of fun goodies besides their sweet stamp sets.  If you subscribe to the PRS newsletter you will be the first to know about special offers and other opportunities.  Signing up is easy!   I also wanted to remind you that if you make a qualifying purchase of $25.00 before the end of the month you will receive a free gift in your order!  Who doesn’t like free?    Precious Remembrance Shop is also active on social media so don’t forget to look for us there!
